Sinking Run Watershed
Sinking Run is a 29 square mile watershed located almost entirely within Tyrone Township, Blair County. The watershed encompasses about 65% of the township. A small portion of the watershed lies within Huntingdon County to the east. The watershed is highly rural, with approximately 63% of land being forested and 28% in agriculture. The remaining land consists of urban/suburban development.
Sinking Run flows northeast through Tyrone Township until it empties into the Little Juniata River in Huntingdon County. The stream has been identified as a Cold Water Fishery.
